Fabio Cappiello, born in Naples in 1977, then spent the first part of his life between the Marche and Umbria where he obtained a degree in Political Science in Perugia with a thesis on contemporary Vietnamese civilisation. He then gave full follow-up to this passion developed with the study by collaborating with the Vietnamese study center in Turin, and then moved to Vietnam where he has lived and worked since 2008 where he resides in the historic city of Hue.
Fabio, in addition to several European languages, speaks Vietnamese fluently and has worked since the beginning of his stay in the country in the field of tourism, guiding groups and planning trips that bring the culture closer in a responsible and aware way. He is particularly expert in sustainable development in the tourism sector and in this area he has coordinated and managed several community tourism projects in the mountainous areas of Vietnam on the border with China.
An important reason that pushed Fabio to live in Vietnam is his sharing of the Buddhist philosophy that permeates the country's culture; over time, in fact, he has become a serious Buddhist practitioner and a Mindfulness Practitioner in the tradition of the venerable Vietnamese Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh and of the monastic community of Plum Village, where he regularly spends a period of the year supporting humanitarian projects. During his travels, one of his excellent qualities is his ability to enrich the itineraries with the contents and Buddhist practices native to the places visited.
